iLP is iLocIT’s Online Localization Platform.

Quick Overview and Introduction
  • iLP is a web-based platform for online translation and collaboration between all project participants. Including client personnel like developers or technical writer to project coordinators and of course translators and reviewers.
  • A project on iLP has one source languages and consists of one or more components (like files in “offline” translation tools)
  • Each component has a defined set of target languages
  • Each language has what we call segment categories with attributes such as “Not translated”, “Needs Editing” or “Has failed checks” etc. This helps to identify segments in different stages of the translation cycle. It is similar to the segment status in e.g. Trados where you have Draft, Translated, and Signed Off etc.
